First off, it’s designed like an abbreviated tent. There’s a pole that lifts up the area where your head goes so you don’t feel so clausterphobic. Users can also poke their head out and enjoy the stars as they fade off to sleep with a built in see through screen that doubles as a bug net to keep creepy crawlies off you. The side zipper is also water proof. Very useful if you’re going to an area with a lot of moisture.
If you’re worried about weight don’t be. The Integral Designs Unishleter eVENT Bivy Sleeping Bag is very lightweight and comes in at just an ounce shy of 2 lbs. This sleeping bag shouldn’t give you too much trouble when you’re trekking across the wilderness.
